Back in the day, When I was a lad,
To the shops we would go, me, mum & dad,
Mum would say something, like 'how has school been',
But me and dad, where nowhere to be seen,

For we'd be off, to the little game shop,
To oh so obviously, pick up another flop,
For back in the day, there was no internet,
To tell us which commodore, game we should get,

So we went on the artwork, and my dads intuition,
And pray he'd pick another winner, like 'impossible mission',
But alas this was, never meant to be,
As he'd pick out some tat, he paid with 50p,

Yet we would rush home, and get so excited,
Hoping this was the game, to make us delighted,
'One bite too deep', now this sounds good,
Followed by dad screaming, words that we're rude,

Yes it sucked sometimes, back in the day,
But when you got a good one, that all went away,
And now i've great memories, of dad and me,
Plus he taught me lots of good profanity,
