Hello!

It's a sad day today to announce that Vertigo Gaming as of Nov. 19 will be terminating all our ZPS servers and our EU services. There are many reasons for this, but like everything else too much to go into here.

Basically real life and VG's wanting to move on to other games is the main catalyst for this. ZPS was a good game in it's hayday, but now, it's become the domain of certain people DDoSing other servers because they have players. We have weathered this storm for quite awhile and helped other communities the best we can weather the same storm. But we have had enough and decided to move on to other games to avoid all the drama. I hope the 3.0 ZPS Update breathes much needed life and other things back into the game.


But enough bad news, we have good news! Our Minecraft Servers are going along fine along with our 7DTD Starvation Server. So feel free to look us up in those games. Also we can be reached on Steam and on TS3 @ ts.vertigogaming.org

- Added a second button to cage house to open the door into the house from underwater.
- Added a skybox to the map. Much shiny. Such skybox. Wow!
- Added some more lighting to the sewers to make it easier for survivors to see.
- Moved/Resized the original button in cage house to be within view range of survivors.
- Fixed displacements around the sewer entrance.
- Changed a few textures in various places around the map.
- Cleaned up many erroneous and unseen textures around the map (optimization).

General:
- Added cubemaps to the map.
- Added plank from tower house to shoreline in front of the farm house.
- Added picnic areas to the map for better cover for zombies.
- Added a few more details to skybox background.
- Added more zombie spawns.
- Added areaportals to buildings for better optimization/performance
- Added playerclips to many parts of the world where displacements were present to (hopefully) prevent people from getting stuck under the map.
- Added/Removed some ladders around the map.
- Reworked many of the world brushes into func_detail and removed extra/uncessary brushes from the map, improving performance.
- Reworked shed to have to have a floor in it as well as to be slightly bigger. This should fix the issue regarding the door getting stuck when opening it.
- Reworked a few weapon/ammo spawns on the map.
- Reworked both zombie and survivor spawns. Zombies mainly spawn in middle of the lake with a few scattered spawns elsewhere. Survivor spawns were made to even how many players spawned in each house.
- Removed some props in the map.
- Removed eroneous/extra entities that were not used by the map.
- Removed extra textures on brush faces users could not see.
- Reduced the number of named entities in the map.
- Updated all glass windows from breakable surf windows to simple glass windows for better performance.
- Fixed the map displacements on the shoreline to make it easier to walk up.
- Fixed mis-aligned items in skybox.
- Fixed texture mismatches.
- General optimizations/fixes

Tower House:
- Reworked the tower and cleaned up excessive entities/actions that worked in tandem when falling. The tower now falls straight down on the roof instead of into the water. This change should fix the server and player side issues that were seen when the tower breaks.
- Changed roof to be more flat/even.
- Moved ammo crates from on top of tower to inside tower.
- Added a couple of props to the tower.
- Removed some spark entities from tower house.
- Reduced the walk area behind the tower house.

Greenhouse:
- Added a couple more lights.
- Changed lighting color in house.
- Optimized parts of the house to better line up with areaportals

Radio station:
- Added more lighting to the house.
- Changed lighting colors.
- Removed the window inside the station.

Farmhouse:
- Added back porch with similar look to front porch.
- Added porch lights.
- Added additional lighting inside the house.
- Removed barricade from the basement door.
- Removed a door from the side of the house.
- Switched basement door position when opened.
- Cleaned up a lot of brush work inside the house.

- Fixed (hopefully) some textures that were not correctly showing up for some users.
- Fixed some displacements around the map that did not line up correctly with the skybox.
- Fixed a floating window barricade on the 2nd floor of white house.
- Added player clip brushes around the gutter on the roof of white house to prevent players from getting stuck on it.
- Added more lighting to white and yellow houses. These areas should be a bit brighter now.
