New / Remastered tactical turn-based strategy wargame
Hi there:)

In this thread I would like to draw your attention to a effectively new / remastered tactical turn-based strategy wargame with plenty of potential to become a really great game here on Steam (e.i. if you haven't heard of it yet).

https://store.steampowered.com/app/844860/Tank_Operations_European_Campaign/

It's now in Early Access and scheduled for full release in November this year.

I, for myself, am a player since the game was announced for the Beta-Test and already a great fan of it. And here's why:

In my opinion this game is a really promising and unique addition to all the turn-based WW2 strategy games out there ! - Promising, because it's not released finally, yet (but there is an already very fun-offering Early Access version available; see above), and unique, because it's offering a more casual (but also challenging) gaming experience, compared to all the other titles of this genre, I know of.
It's effectively the successor to a game with the same title from 2013 with the same overall design-concept and mission-structure (gamers who still own this original version will find it under the renamed simplified title of "Tank Operations" in their library - but not in the steam-shop anymore !), but it was widely overhauled and improved in many, many aspects (and temporarily advertised as "Tank Operations: European Campaign REMASTERED") so that the new version is almost a completely new game : It now has much better map- and unit-graphics, a highly modernized and simplified UI and an overall streamlined and fun-intended campaign-concept.
But interested gamers should also be aware of the fact that it is - intentionally - in no way a historical accurate WW2 simulation, but a fun and easy-playing strategy game, based loosely on the events, locations and units of the years of the war from 1942-45.

The Early Access version already offers the fully playable first 4 scenarios of the great campaign and allows you to get a glimpse of the remaining 8 missions still to come via the already fully voiced mission briefings (in English and German). In these 4 first scenarios you will also get to know and play with about 70% of the finally playable 50+ units of the American forces (usable buildings and structures inclusive) and will be confronted with almost the same amount of units of the axis powers (i.e. German Nazis) as your opponents. As mentioned above, the mission-structure and handling of the UI is hereby very fun-oriented and the units all have unique features with bonuses or maluses regarding their combat-behavior and strategic or tactical possibilities (which is a great strength of the game, imho).
But, as intended with the Early Access, there is still some space for improvement and, according to my experience, if you join the game-community you will find some very responsive, open-minded and ambitious developers, publishers and players, who all mutually try to improve the final gaming-experience as much as possible.

Therefore I would strongly recommend this game and advise you to try it out, if you like turn-based WW2 strategy games with a little casual, but fun and challenging gameplay concept - and you're interested in improving it furthermore.

You should keep in mind, though, that Linked Dimensions is a small indie-developer with limited manpower and budget and therefore not able to fulfill all the wishes of all the players for such games. Therefore the game engine is a little limited, too (e.g. no zooming or panning is possible), but on the other side has moderate hardware-specs. - But, in my honest humbled opinion, nobody needs and deserves our support and success with their project more , than these devs do (when you join the steam-forums and read some of the posts you may understand why ;-))
