State of the Clan:


It's important to remember that the bulk majority of the clan is 18+, what this means is that the grand majority of us have jobs, and families and priorities outside of gaming. We will always be here to game with and provide that ideal atmosphere and environment that our honor codes outlines.

Currently we are transitioning to Discord ( https://discord.gg/RAGXEYs )as being our MAIN focal point of communication as all the other clans INCLUDING FREEJAM backing Discord and PROMOTING IT. Here iare a few reasons we have decided to make this transition:

1) There are more random visitors who will frequent out discord channel then they will on TeamSpeak.

2) There are less trolls on discord, and when they do show up they are more easily dealt with then on TeamSpeak.

3) The frequency of disconnect issues with TeamSpeak and being able to reconnect to TeamSpeak has greatly increased to an unbearable rate.

4) Activity is easier to have as we can visit and be visited- and game with other clans we have a great and friendly rapport with such as AC, MI and HEX.

5) Events can now include other friendly clans to increase participation.

6) Discord offers a one stop shop of RAW communication, there is no longer a need to have multiple media to check for information...
--- The Steam Group still has it's place for things such as our member list, and certain discussion threads of permanent information. However, discord offers far greater resourced of information management and tools to always connect with somebody.




UPDATES:


Frank has stepped down from council and coincidentally Vanover has returned to the clan having gone through a lot, get with him if you want the details.

We have reset the clans ranking responsibility system and those who held some. We will be continuing to reevaluate things within the clan to ensure we keep doing what works and phasing out what doesn't work to include areas of responsibility. If you are interested in having more responsibility in the clan, now is the time to show interest. Just remember, it's more important to earn the respect of all members in the clan SLOWLY OVER TIME through consistent conduct and actions, then it is to try and do it a lot over a short time just to show your interests in promotion.



Clarifications:


The first step to building a clan is to start with good quality people with character attributes that exemplify mature, integrity, respect, and courtesy (for starters). You build a core group of that lead by a few. As you grow, you increase those few to a little more, but you do it by reading the collective of the group and ensure respect and trust is earned by everyone (most everyone).

Currently we are in a transition period because we are switching to a new hub of communication, it's important not to leave people behind, so we will maintain TeamSpeak as a secondary VOIP source. However, the transition is also one that deals with leadership and strengthening our core to begin recruiting... We have a strong core group though they are spread out over different schedules and VOIPs at the moment. We will continue to focus on quality over quantity.

Lastly for clarification sake, it's important to keep in mind the member questionnaire and what spectrum most players like to play the game at. A casual or intermediate player may not enjoy playing with a competitive player.. PLEASE remember to clarify this before hand. For the competitive players, remember to stick with the others and continue to represent in TDM and League.
