Phantoms Unite

Welcome, Phantoms.

This is an alliance of Metal Gear Solid players world-wide, where members can team up to help each other defend their Forward Operating Bases (FOBs).

There is only one rule - do not attack members of the alliance (exceptions can be made, such as, one member making an agreement with another member to attack each other for whatever reason). If someone doesn't follow the rule, inform any admin, or write a post/comment and we will make sure they are out for good.

Getting to know other people here will be helpful to pick your buddies. If someone isn't available at some moment during an attack, the more people we know who play the game, the bigger are our chances of getting help from each other every time someone attacks any of us and thus bigger chances of defending successfully.

Hopefully this group will help everyone in it to help each other. Besides defense, we can help each other with invasions as well. The idea is that all of us in the group would help each other out in the online part of the game.

The Phantom Pain Advanced Mechanic Guide

Members of The Phantom Alliance and Metal Gear Solid Fan Club (MGSFC) are creating an Advanced Game Mechanics guide. Check it out, even if you played MGS V a lot, you might find at least one or two things that you didn't know about the game. We hope it proves useful to you!

FOB Cheater Warning

I regret to announce that currently there are quite a few cheaters attacking FOBs. They are known to use god mode and something that instantly knocks out all the staff, as well as stealing everything you have (which can ruin your singleplayer experience).

If you already have an FOB, going offline will not help. You can call all this just speculations, because it is not certain how can you avoid this, far as I know, but the possible way to avoid it is this:
Stay offline before/after mission 22.

I have heard many cases of these cheater attacks and how people got everything they have stolen. Luckily for me, I have yet to encounter any cheaters, or any invaders in general, so here is another possible way to avoid it for those who have an FOB:
Do not invade other people.

By not invading other people, chances are, you will not appear on the map for invasions, or at least you won't be so visible on it.

I set up security and built a few other facilities on my FOB and still wasn't attacked. Currently I have the FOB for about 5 days at the time of writing this.

If anything goes wrong and you do get invaded and are forced to build an FOB, even if you go offline, a thing I thought of is that you can send out your staff on missions and don't accept the rewards from those missions until the issue is solved, so in case you lose everything, you can get at least some of the things back by accepting your rewards later.

Be sure to let us know about your experience with FOBs and other possible ways to avoid invasions until the issue is solved.
