TERRA was founded in the summer of 2015 by "CRO" (later known as "Salami") as a Rust gaming community, initially built around a heavily modded 100x gather-rate server named TERRA Nova. At its peak, TERRA Nova stood as one of the most popular heavily modded Rust servers. Although its prominence was short-lived, it paved the way for future successes, thanks to the dedication of the Nova-era community and staff members like "Yes" and "Max."

In 2017, after several exploratory server ventures with "SrtBull" (Rust Admin Academy), "Yes" launched TERRA Gladius (50x), which became the foundation for a new server, TERRA Rusticus (10x), created by "Salami." Meanwhile, "Max" played a pivotal role in securing partnerships with content creators, driving Rusticus’ early success in late 2017 and early 2018.

The leadership of TERRA Rusticus comprised "Salami" and "Yes," while "Max" focused on expanding the server’s reach through networking. Early staff members "Terror," "Cole," and "Welfare" also joined the team, helping to manage and grow the vibrant community.

Between 2015 and 2017, "Salami" honed his software development skills in college, using them to elevate Rust modding to new heights. He introduced an array of innovative plugins, including Drone Strikes, the MLRS (with initial development assisted by "Lystic"), Attack Chinooks, Perks, RP Lottery and Coin Flips, Drugs, Playercards, and Car Bombs (VBIEDs), Super Turrets, Lock-On Rocket SAMs, among others. These additions set TERRA Rusticus apart and contributed significantly to its popularity.

By 2019, TERRA Rusticus reached its all-time peak player count, regularly hosting over 100 players with a cap of ~110 for performance optimization. This period also saw record funding and the addition of new staff members, including "Dink," "Zonfire," "Jakku," and "Neptune." "Terror," "Zonfire," and "Dink" remained active, with their involvement continuing to shape the community to this day.

However, the years 2020 and 2021 saw a gradual decline in Rusticus' popularity as many core players moved on from the game. In 2022, "Salami" made the difficult decision to shut down TERRA Rusticus, prioritizing personal matters over maintaining a server with dwindling activity. This marked the end of TERRA's impactful Rust chapter ...or NOT!?

PS: Many notable community members, including lower-ranking staff (Moderators and Helpers) and members of the "Salami Squad" who assisted with administration and development, such as "Lystic," "Users," "Ubercat, and "Holland" were not individually named but were vital to TERRA’s success.
