The first and only TSW group for gamers of cheapassery.

Welcome to the group! If it isn't obvious enough, this group is dedicated to pulling together us CAGs to play The Secret World. Zombies, ghosts, and other things that go bump in the night aren't going to vanquish themselves!

Rules:

Rules? What rules? Well, alright, if you're in the group you should either own TSW or be planning on grabbing it the next time it hits a good sale. (I'm looking at you, Fluffnugget!)

It really doesn't matter if you have the game through Steam or elsewhere (hint, hint, Amazon), but please add the game to your Steam library by clicking "+ Add a Game" in the bottom left corner of the Steam client, choosing "Add a Non-Steam Game..." and then finding "The Secret World" on the list there, checking the box next to it, and pressing "Add Selected Programs". That way you can use the Steam UI while in game, and so that we can see when each other are playing!

Other than that, just don't cause any drama, and play nice. That's all.

Characters:

If you're new, please create a post on the discussion thread "Character Index". Once compiled, we can all check there to see what everyone's in game names, factions, and play styles, and times they can play are!

Tips:

This is under construction, but I'm going to try to plagiari- err, type up a newbie guide, since most of us in this group are totally new to the game.

For everyone's information, though, players in different factions CAN group together and go on PVE missions together and such, but they CANNOT battle each other in PVP.

Events:

Nothing yet! We'll work towards setting up some good community play days in the future though.

Sorry this group has been a snorefest. I was busy for awhile, then I just plain haven't touched TSW! I'm getting the itch to play again though, and we really should get some groups going if you guys are up to it (and no, not just Jokette, EDW, and Paz!).

Either hop in game and send me a message on Steam, or reach out to others and get groups going. The game is a lot of fun, and I KNOW most of you own it, so c'mon, play it!

Also, I'll set up an event. What time would be good for everyone?

!!! - Cabal created for TSWoC, READ ME!

Heads up to everyone that I have finally finished creating the group cabal. Because of how the game works, in that cabals can only contain one faction, I have been working on three separate characters to build them up to faction rank 2, and have created three cabals.

Avarus Culus [T] - For Templar characters.
Avarus Culus [D] - For Dragon characters.
Avarus Culus [ I ] - For Illuminati characters.

A few of you are already in the Dragon and Templar divisions, but since I haven't publicly announced any of this yet, the cabals are pretty much empty. Now that they're created, I'm trying to get everyone added to their corresponding cabal. That way we will be able to hook up and chat with each other easier in game. I also know there is a way to link the cabals as far as chat is concerned, but I don't understand how to do this yet. If anyone DOES know how to do this, please contact me. Otherwise I'll post when I figure it out.

To be added to your native cabal, please...

1. Message me on Steam (while I'm online, of course).
2. Go in game.
3. I'll add you to the cabal.

That's it. If anyone is very familiar with the cabal system, and how to invite people to cabals, feel free to contact me if you want to help as a recruitment officer. Note that we're a CAG group, so at the moment (likely forever) we won't be "recruiting" anyone but other CAGs from within this group.

In closing, if anyone is wondering what "Avarus Culus" is all about, Google Translate is your friend!

Been a long absence away from the game but want to drop in to say the Gilded Rage Event is up again until the 13th. Another chance to catch up, gain a chunk of AP/SP, and collect what was missed.

Anniversary Event is up again from now - July 17th.

Same Guardians from last year's Anniversary Event, with the addition of event lore and a Guardian in Tokyo for those that have purchased it. So if you haven't completed/experienced the last Anniversary Event, now's the chance to catch up!

Hi all just want to throw out there that patch 1.9 is live and brought more content and lots of changes - most interesting for me is the changes to many weapon skills/passives.

Bird of the Zero Point Pathogen event has finally(?) come to an end. I'm sad to see it go, since it was the only method I used to upgrade gear and one of the reasons I continue to login, but now...

The long awaited Tokyo is out to purchase early for subscribers so there is a little more to do ingame now(?) - though I'm sure some will just breeze through it then complain there's nothing else to do until the next batch is out. :P

That said, I hope some will check it out and I hope to see you all in-game sometime.

Yeah, hoping to be able to get back on on my laptop sometime to knock this out. I think I have the first two parts of the achievement done, but will definitely need help on the rest of it. So if you guys are around and up for it, I'd love the help! (otherwise, I'm hoping that the TSW community continues to be as awesome as they have in the past in helping people out with stuff like this.) Then I just have to figure out if it's at all possible for me to get the rest of the set of clothing - I'm doubting it, but maybe I'll figure out something.
