Greetings everyone,

As you may already know, we have established a weekly meeting on Tuesdays at 20:00 CET, in order to start and continue games of Shattered Ascension on the TableTop Simulator mod.

So far, it has worked really well, we gathered a core set of players and were able to start eight games and finish five of them (including an epic game of almost twenty hours).

But the point of having a steam group is to enlarge the Shattered Ascension player base, to promote the creation of games with new players from other countries, and to grow a strong community dedicated to this atypic game.

So I'm a bit puzzled when we see so many members in the group, and yet get to see so few of them on the Tuesdays. Maybe you are shy. Maybe you are not availlable on Tuesdays and are secretly cursing us for having chosen this unconvenient time. Maybe you are a bit new to either Twilight Imperium 3 or Shattered Ascension, and do not feel comfortable enough, or do not want to spoil other people's games with your inexperience. Or maybe you only want to play with your local friends, and are annoyed by this kind of posts.
The fact is that we don't know. We don't know if you would like to play with us, we don't know when you would be availlable to do so and we don't know what you expect of this group.

So if you are interested in making this steam group a place vibrant with life and galactic warlords struggles, please consider leaving a comment to this announcement, to let us know your opinion and a bit about you so that we can organise relevant stuff to turn this group into a place that suits your needs. (You can also simply say hi, just that would already be great)

• Are you familiar with Twilight Imperium 3? Shattered Ascension?

We believe it is necessary to have at least one regular playtime, from which the rest can grow. This playtime is currently Tuesday evening, but since we don't see a lot of you in the group chat at these times...

• When would you like such regular playtime to be? By extension, when are you availlable to play?

Would you be interested by some kind of easy-going learning games? A not-that-competitive game aimed at providing insight on Twilight Imperium 3 and Shattered Ascension and acquiring some practical experience.
Training duels against a willing-to-teach player can also be a great learning vector.

We do have a rustic scoreboard managed by Thrombozyt (actually one for the duels/skirmishes (3 player games), and one for the Matches (4 to 8 player games)), but would you be interested in some kind of tournament at some point?
Series of duels or something like that?

As a final word, know that you can often find at least one guy in the group chat, if ever you wish to know something or simply talk. Note that this group chat is where we usually meet before launching the Tuesday game time. It's also a good place to meet the other persons of the group that are not your steam friend, so we encourage you to just hang around in it (turning on the "beep when users send messages" that is mysteriously off by default is worth considering (there's an arrow for that in the group chat window)).
And we are also planning to start at least one new game next Tuesday, so you can join us in the group chat before 20:00 and we will decide how many and which games to start so that everyone gets to play.

(By the way, the CET evenings may very well be unconvenient for non-european players. So if a non-european player group was willing to create the same kind of regular playtime, at a more convenient time for them, they would be welcome)
