No official time was given for the launch of the TF2 beta, but at 12:28am Seattle time this morning (28 minutes past a Monday release) TF2 went live.

As an interesting side note as well, as of(7:12am Seattle time) there are over 5000 players playing - that's more than Day of Defeat: Source.

Well, it's 12 midnight here on the east coast, and that means it is no longer Monday Sept. 17th. And still no TF2 beta. I'm going to bed, hoping to wake up to carnage and mayhem. Perhaps you in the earlier timezones will be lucky and get it before the end of your day. But for me, Valve's promise = broken :(
