@cherokee_rose: dont worry, most races have this problem. But there are a number of solutions: 1. try jumping repeatedly to gain the extra height to grab the stuff on the shelf or 2. just use toggle collision (tcl) in the console and float yourself the extra way up. hope this helps.

I liked their starting stats and racial abilities, however I've come across an unexpected problem in playing Argonian. I'm short. I can't always see what's on the top shelves nor pick it up. Does anyone else have this problem?

I'm considering starting a new game with a different race and coming back to this one some other time. This is the first time I've played Skyrim or an Elder Scrolls game. So can anyone let me know if there are any drawbacks to playing one of the other races that might not be obvious to a new player like me?

@ Divine Avenger Well I find it quite the other way round. Or maybe that was just because i didn't develop my character's magic enough in Oblivion. Still I find Skyrim's magic pretty kickass. The only magic I ever used in Oblivion was restoration. Till date in Oblivion I don't have a single kill using magic alone lol. But I have a lot of it in Skyrim.

@ Asat0rr Im not kidding, magic here is to weak in oblivion you could make crazy spells nothing like group paralyzing for 30 seconds or insta kill made spells. And I always play a warrior but in oblivion the magic was useful in Skyrim I find it useless. Im just upset i spent like 12 points into destruction magic, that would be 12 more perk points i could have right now. But aside from that the game is still pretty amazing.

@ Divine Avenger are you kidding? I'm a Nord and obviously a warrior to the core but I find magic also comes in handy. Its so much more effective than it was in Oblivion. In Oblivion I was 98% warrior 2% mage. Here its more of 60-40. Though I mostly use only destruction.

As a level 69 Imperial on Master difficulty I found Skyrim a bit to easy. I started at the beginning as a warrior and ended as a warrior after trying magic. Personally the magic system sucks due tio the fact there isnt any good spells other than paralyze. Also at level 69 im sitting at 11 unused perk points to use since the fact that most perks sucks. Why spend five points to upgrade ur swords damage when u can do x15 damage in sneak? But aside from the bad perk system and crappy magic and only 10 points to health majic or stamina its fun. As a pointer game is much more fun on master than on normal.

If you are running it on PC, there are a few mods I recommend getting. I HIGHLY recommend using CFF explorer to make your exe run more than 2gb of Ram. I also recommend using post processor injecting. Most of the bugs that are truly game breaking in PC went away after making sure the game could run more than 2 gb.

I haven't managed to get my claws on it yet either but I will soon. Is there any news of fixing these bugs I keep reading about?

TIP: DO fuck with giants when you are a level 43 badass darkelf in daedric armour :)

Due to lack of funds, I only got my copy from game stop yesterday (Along with the guidebook). I've yet to play it however. Does anyone have any tips or advice for when I do start playing (most likely later today or tomorrow). Thank you very much.

But giants are more powerful than dragons? That's not right.
Then again I heard it was a bug that made the giants kill you in one shot

Anybody else here walk up to a giant expecting them to be friendly, and then find out just how wrong you were?

I need help with a glitch im having lately... I specced into quick reflexes, which slows time down when someone power attacks me when im blocking, but lately most of the time that happens, time continues to be slow, and its really been bugging me because it makes fights reaaaaaally easy... anyone know how to fix this?
