Portal 2 + ReShader Problems
Hello there!

So I've probably tried all combinations of ReShader and SweetFX and nothing really worked. I've used the Setup ReShader provides and moved/copied all files it created into the "bin" folder, still nothing. I got a text in the middle saying "SweetFX 2.0" when I start the game and the Valve video plays. However when I press Enter or wait till the video finished I get the loading screen, wait for around 10-20 seconds and then Portal 2 closes itself again.
I can't fix this until I remove ReShader + SweetFX again out of the directory/ies and restart my PC.
The next thing I actually tried downloading was one of these packs provided here (SweetFX v1.5) and copied all files to the main directory and "bin". Nothing at all.

My specs are quite high so it can't be that.
NVidia GTX 970
i7 3770K
16GB RAM

I'd be so happy if anyone can actually help me since I'm very interested in trying this fancy thing out, thanks yet already!

PS.: If someone happens to have some screenshots of a working instance with Portal 2 and ReShader + SweetFX I'd also be happy.

Btw. if that's any help here: I'm using Windows 8.1 64bit. (Portal is still 32bit of course)

Reporting back, ReShade 0.14.0 and 0.15.0 working just fine, even with in-game AA enabled, I copied "SweetFX" folder, ReShade32.dll and Sweet.fx files into G:\Steam\steamapps\common\Portal 2\bin\ then I renamed ReShade32.dll to d3d9.dll and everything launched and loaded just fine, I jumped into several different levels as well, all good....

Not quite sure what your problem is... :( other then being on Windows 8.1 (I'm on 8) I know SFX had some issues with 8.1 and DX11/64 bit games, neither of which Portal 2 is.. sooooo ya this is odd, copy paste your "d3d9.log" file or change it to "d3d9.tracelog" and re-run the game again then send that file my way.

As always.. check if an overlay is interfering. Afterburner, Fraps.. you name it. Disable those. They might inject at the same spot ReShade does.. and overwrites some of ReShades magic. That kills the crab.

I do have those programs but neither of them are running. I will do the above said tracelog now, thanks!

Here's the tracelog from starting the game till it crashes at the loading screen.

If you have Razer Cortex/Game Booster, try disabling that as it causes problems

Nope, I'm not using such things.
