Why in the world was Deep Dive shelved?
easily the best Steam Labs Experiment IMO. to be honest, both the Store page recommendations and the discovery queue are kind of bad at giving games you actually want, which is weird considering how much interest Steam has put into AI, Neural Networks, and future technology in general I mean they are literally working on a brain-computer interface. I think in general the recommendation algorithm needs a redo, but Deep Dive was EASILY the best way to find games that you actually want to play so I have no idea why steam choose to shelve it.

That makes no sense. They already built the thing and users actually used it to find new games to buy, thus earning Steam money.

Yeah, I really miss it. Steam's normal systems (such as "More Like This") are TERRIBLE at finding games that are ACTUALLY like what I want without going through Deep Dive. I am sad.

I do not understand it either. It was by far the best Experiment and the only one I used.

it's sad ... i had high hopes for feature like Deep Dive to help find games alike ...
especially when the "More Like This" for e.g. space + RTS + space-ships + sci-fi
returns you random popular FPS shooter, followed by city builder and isometric RPG
it's completely bugged, wrong or infested with tag SEO tricks messing search etc.
