I am not sure whether this is really relevant to all members in this group but I think this is only relevant place where I can discuss this with multiple people.

Does anyone have any information on this new ban message that says "Game ban" and then below it says "This Steam account has been banned by Overwatch."? From what I know, the only messages for Overwatch bans were "Minorly Disruptive" and "Majorly Disruptive", but I've recently seen this new ban message float around in the forums.

This has especially been brought to my attention when a semi-professional CS:GO player was banned today and had this message displayed when he went in-game (Picture: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DFCzY8EXsAEYJo_.jpg:large ). The interesting thing is that, alongside this message in-game, there was also 1 VAC ban on record on his profile. Now, considering that it is a known player (semi-professional), Valve was more likely to see his complaint and investigate it quickly, which resulted in the VAC ban on record being removed from the profile about 10 hours later.

My only theory would be that the Overwatch investigators thought that he was blatantly cheating (this has happened to a few professional players before who later got unbanned by Valve) and ended up being banned by Overwatch, but the questions are: a) why is the message not "Majorly Disruptive" and b) why does "1 VAC ban on record" show on the profile, assuming the player was not caught by the VAC system?
