Thanks Boss. I appreciate the kind words of encouragment there from you. The user in mind accused me of being a dumb..... and three letters after that because I did not understand that family sharing was the same as account sharing and that is allowed by Valve.

I could go into more detail here as there was other misunderstandings in the thread, but you get the idea. Like I always say, you guys in the community help me to be better all the time. And for that as well as many other things, I thank you for.

I will try to remember that and follow your advice. Just answer it and not reply if they reply as you just described. Thanks so much again.

Good point, my friend. Just answer the question and then not get too involved. I get hung up on posting all the correct info and trying to educate the millions in the community from one or two posts....LOL

That is impossible of course, so I should remember what you said also.

Update...

I have a confession to make. A user yesterday got the better of me, and my conduct in the forum was less than "professional" one might say.

I did not break any rules, mind you, but things got a bit out of hand, and I have been copying and pasting the forum search results that should help with the recent issues of "VAC was unable to verify your game session", where we see many users mistaking that for a VAC ban, as they often do with these kinds of errors.

So if anyone has any advice or constuctive criticism on that, feel free to post it here. I think this is still on topic but if not, also let me know. Thanks.

I see, and you are right. We do see many that make mistakes there in their replies, then we feel compelled to correct them, and then the vampiric entity sometimes deletes the comments, so I often try to reserve myself in correcting someone there that does what you describe in this thread.

EDIT..budozero also suggested something like this once, but he suggested a pinned thread. This is even better here, a group to discuss these types of things. So his idea was a good one.

Hey, great OP there Boss. Nicely done and great advice also. I do often copy and paste my list of reasons for causes of VAC bans, and sometimes also when they just keep asking to be unbanned, I paste the excerpt from the rules that says not to ask.

Your OP has made me rethink my actions a bit. What do you guys think ? Is this not exactly what was being refered to above or do you think what I do should not be done ?

Also, hilarious part there about a "power vampiric entity"...LOL..hahaha...funny.
