Report a translation problem
It was not even a rule break, they just used a translation tool, and thought i broke the rules.
I got a 3-day ban a while ago for calling out someone with a photo of a nazi as their profile picture while he didn't even get a warning. There is a poster on the Dota 2 forums (a Valve game) who constantly flames and harasses any new player asking for advice or basically anyone asking for help and told a poster yesterday he wanted to watch them die and...a whole lotta nothing from the mods, even though they were fully aware of the thread.
I have definitely noticed some inconsistencies, which can often manifest in someone arguing with a problem poster being warned or banned while the problem poster receives nothing. So you definitely need to watch how you construct your replies when responding to such trolls.
I personally don't have any problems with them (yet), unlike some friends I know that got banned for no reason, later to get unbanned when they gave the report to a global mod to look into the matter. As from what I've seen so far and what I heard from others these people should not be put into the paid mod area and should be placed at a lower level to start with and move up the ranks, most of the global mods should have been asked to be paid mods as they have had around 10+ years of sevice, decent rep amoung the community and know what they are doing unlike some of the trigger happy paid mods have been.
There are definitely some volunteer mods on the forums who deserve to get paid.
