The lengths scammers will go to...
This just popped up through the grapevine:

http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/profiles/76561197964732051/

Scammer claims to be admin and official middleman, claims he has official steam developer software to "validate" items and even uploaded a faked SteamRep profile when his actual SR is banned to include his numerous alts.

Uploaded to his artwork showcase:

The "Steam Developer Software" in action:

Fake SteamRep:

Real SteamRep:

edit: His account now appears to be community banned.

When it becomes numbers like that, the community ban is permanent. Good for him/her

I've seen these accounts before, one of them even had a "Valve Employee" trading card featured on his profile from this game.

Yeah, that's some shady shit..and people who haven't been around Steam or the internet as long as some of us unfortunately fall for this crap. Even some old timers fall for this stuff too.
Good thing that user is community banned now. That's a lot of effort just to scam people. SteamRep is great ;D.

For some reason one of the usernames looks familiar to me ... or maybe it's just the crown icons in the name. Seen those a lot.

I don't like to think that some people fall for this stuff so easily, but ... I guess that's unrealistic. Most of these scam attempts are just so obvious. :SadSally:

Might want to change the names on the artwork you uploaded, to indicate without any question that each of these things is fake. To prevent someone else from using your things.

These aren't mine. Those are uploaded to his profile. Although, his profile is now permanently community banned the images are still viewable if you have the original links.

that doesn't look liek community banned, that looks like termination.

No. Terminated accounts have red writing that the profile has not been setup. Although the numbers are the same, community banned members are missing this text.

I know because I've terminated an account before. This is the account I terminated.

I don't think Steam can legally "terminate" an account. A community ban does not prevent you from playing your games, as it should not.

Well, legally Steam can do pretty much anything laid out in the subscriber agreement. Pretty much every game's EULA states something to the effect that they can terminate your license whenever for whatever.

That said, you're right about community bans. They won't prevent you from playing games on your Steam account. They'll just prevent you from complaining about them on the Steam forums.

I reported many a scammer/malwarespammer and i think it's a suspended account (suspencion includes a community ban) : member since 2004 it looks like a hijacked acc to me. Steam keeps this acc safe for when the legit owner wants to reclaim the acc..
Ah, I stand corrected. Here are examples from acc's under invesifation that still can be used. Look at the may acc's nicnamed iiiiiiiiiiiiii, the ones with a dog and the ones with "free Skins" as an avatar show no info yet games are played (or idled) from them. The accounts with numerical digits as an avatarare not yet under suspicion (reported today for 1 scamspammer from today spams a forum where i regulary visit).
