Turning OFF Hardware Acceleration will fix it for a little bit longer but then it still eventually desyncs as well so it's not that Either I guess.

For me the audio only desyncs when I view the recording in Steam, when I cut a part and export the video the audio of it seems fine

hasnt been the case for me so far, even the raw video will look like this

Yea even grabbing it outside the game theres about 3 seconds of audio delay after the game has been running for 10 minutes or so that keeps getting longer and longer. there will be really loud audio clipping and then anything after that will have delay

Finally fixed it!!
Turns out my Audio Device was set to 16bit 44.1Khz and Steam Recording does NOT get along with that setting. I moved it to 24bit 192khz and its completely fixed now. I'm pretty sure 48000 will also fix it but i just cranked it as a test initially.

And for those who only have 16 bits available? how is it?

I tried the audio device change from Var's settings on a 3080 Ti but unfortunately I'm still getting the same audio desync

Maybe I'm late but if it helps anyone, changing the audio settings from 16bit to 24bit fixed the problem for me, i had almost 30sec of audio delayed.
Here is my tip: if you don't have that option on your device you can download an application called Voice Meeter Banana, it's free and has many useful functions, one of them being able to change your settings to 24bit 48kHz
