Just wanted to let people know that the recent patch update has made it so that audio does not play for the invited friend/family member when doing remote play together.
We've been playing a game and noticed the problem just started with the new patch, on normal steam the bug doesn't occur.

The game I was playing was Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance II but I think this may be affecting more/all games as it appears the bulk of the update deals with steam streaming capabilities.
