Well above 1GB of disk reading just to start Steam. Which takes around 3-5 minutes to complete. And that's only processes which remained until full Steam load. Real total disk read is expected to be significantly higher. For no palpable reason.
This is not alright. Whatever you use as Steam base, it was intended to be fast and lightweight.

It tends to happen on first startup in OS session only.
