Gyro To Mouse Is Randomly Jerky
While I am no longer using the Steam Beta Client, I AM using this Beta Feature so I figured it would be appropriate to post about it here.

UPDATE(made on 10/7/25): After switching back to the beta branch I have not noticed the following issue in the last several days. That doesn't mean its gone entirely, because I've definitely gone days without it in the past, and had it return, but so far so good. Switching back to stable branch brings it back in debilitating intensity.

I have tried recording my issue, but due to its nature(which you may read below), it is not only difficult to capture, but also difficult to see happening when it is actually captured. I HAVE however had it happen to me in just the PERFECT place for capturing it, so I will leave a YouTube link below.

ISSUE
While most of the time Gyro To Mouse works fine sometimes, seemingly at random, I will get weird intense jerks in my aim. The only consistencies in regards to this behavior are that it usually(although not always limited to this) only occurs when I am currently making large/fast flicks or sweeps, rather than small/smooth and steady motions. While doing so it randomly applies a large sweep or jerk. I can think of few instances of this occurring vertically, its usually horizontal, although that is likely a function of my limited vertical flicks. I have noticed it occur with both my Flydigi Vader 4 Pro(I only use it in D-Input mode) and my Nintendo Switch Pro controller.

Edit: I forgot to make clear that sometimes when it happens it is sparse and only happens here and there throughout the play session. Sometimes it is so prevalent that it becomes debilitating, where every single movement gets a jerk to it. Which makes me just want quit entirely and do something else. More often(thank god) it ends up just not happening at all.

OS
Linux Mint 21.3 w/ Cinnamon DE

STEPS
These will be somewhat vague, as there aren't many clear patterns in the issue.
Open any 3D game whose camera can be controlled by the mouse(I have tested on 4 different games).
Use SteamInput to play said game with my controller, usually by using my presets to translate all controller inputs to keyboard and mouse inputs.
When attempting to maintain cursor contact with opponents observe and be frustrated at the random accelerations that are randomly occurring in your movements.
Ragequit, shutdown and turn on controller, pray that everything works properly this time.

RESULTS
Aiming is occasionally extremely frustrating as my cursor randomly gains a mind of its own.

EXPECTED
My cursor should NOT move in directions or ways that are not directly tied to how I am moving/pointing my controller.
