7680x1440 using nVidia Surround


Steam Settings - Game Recording

Under "Maximum video height" in the Recording settings it says:

"Width will be automatically set to preserve game's aspect ratio".

When setting 1440p, I get 3840x720 in the Fullscreen background recording.
I expect 7680x1440.


Window mode:
Now, this may be the game that is not giving me what I set in the Config file
where Window Mode is set to 4850x1440, but Resolution I get is 3840x1142.
Again, this may be correct. but it seems a bit small since the window is touching
top and bottom of the screen that is 1440.

The absolute best solution in my case would be if Backgroud Recording could be
set to whatever I want, which would be 4850x1440. In that case I would not
have to go to Window Mode to record Replay to get a watchable aspect ratio.

Obviously, recording 3 full screens looks ridiculous because of the huge FOV and
is not suitable for YouTube, so having the ability to set the width and height would
not only give the nessecary flexibility, but also save a massive amount of space
on my HDD's.


So when comparing the two modes, it seems that there is a limit of 3840 wide,
which then causes only 720p to keep the aspect ratio, not the other way around.
Why not the other way around? Because the window mode is able to set hight
height, ie. 1142p and limits the width to the same 3840.

In no case do I get the 1440p I set in the Steam Settings, neither the height or the corresponding width.
