My testing of DGVoodoo2 (Help Appreciated)
I decided to give HDR a go using Voodoo2 on The Elder Scrolls Oblivion.

I got the menu to see the game was using DX11, or atleast translated DX9 calls but SpecialK knew no difference, which brought me closer to my goal.

Because at least in my experience, Bethesda DX9 games like to HOG the cursor, I had to rely on manually enabling HDR using the config. Which was a pain.

So where have I got then? Pretty much nowhere, the mod works without the use of HDR but once enabled well, the screen is black with sound from the start of the game.

Any attempts to full screen the game crash SpecialK.

Of course I know nothing about the software or how calls work but using my dumb brain to try think I would assume the game can give out dx9 to 11 but it still relies on DX9 calls internally so it just cannot process the HDR.

I didn't initially think I could get it to work but, sometimes strange things happen.

That being said I am nowhere near even educated on any of this, I just like pushing stuff for fun to see how far I get.

I'm not going to expect any sort of support for this software at any point mainly because I assume it is pretty much impossible unless the game itself was ported to DX11 and not just wrapped to translate the calls.

Then again I could be extremely wrong, maybe it would work right now without any form of issue if the right config and set up was applied.

I'm new to SpecialK at any rate, and I'm new to DGVoodoo2 as well. If anyone else got further lemme know how if you have the time to.
