Thoughts on a 3D Shantae Game?
So Matt Bozon, the co-creator of the Shantae series, stated in an interview that he'd like to take Shantae into the 3D Polygonal enviornment. What are your thoughts on this?

Though I personally feel like most of the charm comes from the 2D Side Scroller format, I think this would be a good leap for the series. I could definitely see it garnering in more fans.

As for his idea for a VR Shantae game and a Musical based game. I'd be totally down for that as well.

What're your thoughts on this? :shantae_relax:

It can still be a side scroller, like HGH but characters also in 3D not just the environment.

I'd like that :steamhappy:

I'm not interested in rhythm games but I guess might work with Shantae, worth a shot. I think they should add it as a mini game into the main game though.

Perhaps make it so that you need to pass a 1 minute rhythm mini game to learn dances, then you unlock them.

Gameplay wise, i’m certain WayForward could make Shantae work in 3D with enough testing and patience. It’d be a new era for the half-genie.

I’m more concerned how they’re going to transition the artstyle to the 3rd dimension. It’s not impossible and maybe i’m just being overly paranoid, but having seen some of the fanmade 3D models of Shantae... yeah.

I'm all in favor of having a Shantae game in 3D, cuz then if the series goes in that direction, Sakurai will have no choice but to add Shantae as a DLC fighter for SSBU
