Don't mess with us

This is our first official match. It's scheduled for 9pm EST/8pm Central/6pm PST on this upcoming Saturday, Feb 2nd. This seemed to best match up with mostly everybody's schedule. There are a lot of timezones to consider!

I think we've got a great team on our hands. The most important thing I think we can remember is that time is the most critical factor in winning these games. They're all good teams, so it seems likely that as far as team scores go, that it'll often end up in a tie. The rules state that when it ends in a tie, the winning team is decided based on time remaining.

So what is the best way to keep time on our side? Keep everybody alive, so that they're not stuck dead waiting to respawn for 20 precious seconds. To do that, we need to have at least 3 medics at all times. When they're trying to capture a point with ubers, the best thing we can do is hit our uber AFTER that and stand on the point to ensure we're in control of that point. For every failed push on their end, they often spend at least another minute trying to build up another uber push. These minutes add up and win the game for us, so keep in mind that it's very helpful to have a medic and heavy watching capture points that can be taken, at all times.
