I blindly followed him, he had a good rep+ when i checked his comments, this was my first trade with someone i didnt know personally, he made me feel assured with all the reps and he had high level steam.

How did I get scammed? TL;DR Im an idiot and this was my first steam trade.

He used this facebook group to vouch for his rep and was streaming past transactions. Probably all scams aswell. All in all I only lost $2.50 for the key. I took the risk of not selling on the official market and crashed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

How does he scam? : He lores people in by saying that he is blocked from withdrawing skins on this gambling site, he sends you 100-700 coins on this site, he asks you to pick any skins for him and that you can keep 50-200 of the coins for yourself, picking the skins, and clicking withdraw causes the skins to appear in a section called "Frozen Items" which then gives you the message, "You need to have a deposit of 50 000 coins before you're able to withdraw skins", if you ignore him he will continue ranting on and on about a sob story about how he is poor and needs food.
