Running a christmas festival themed one-shot tonight for anyone who wants to join. We will be playing 6th level characters and bringing in the Taldorei whitestone setting for those of you who are familiar. Should be a lot of fun, I have a character creation table running right now for the next little bit until we get started.

I know i haven't made this clear, but if you guys could leave a simple one word comment or thumbs up after any of the messages I leave for you it would be appreciated. Just something to let me know you're seeing it. Thank you all and merry christmas. Hope you all have a very happy holiday.

For those of you who haven't decided on a background yet, all I want from you is a very simple backstory. I want a basic outline of what your character used to do that made them good at what they are (blacksmith, farmer, acolyte, soldier, etc but a little more in depth). Then what made them leave their old life to become adventurers. What changed in their lives that made them stop JUST doing what they were doing before. Was it time for them to go on a religeous pilgrimage? Did a group of goblins raid and wipe out all of the small hometown leaving just a few survivors? Did an event occur with an elder that changed their way of thinking?

I then want you to decide on one flaw for your character. The player's handbook outlines good examples of these in their backgrounds section, but you can decide on one of equal or worse severity if you choose. This isn't a job interview, your greatest weakness should not be how much time you spend working out to get stronger. Pick something that is really a flaw in the character. Try to avoid racist or the true lone wolf. These can be difficult to work with in a group setting, and you're all playing in a group setting.

If you're an open book then you can post here. If your backstory has some elements that should remain secretive, then don't post where everyone can see. In this case just send it to me through a private message or request my email if the message would be too long.

Feel free to get creative and flesh out a really in depth backstory if you want but I would like one of these simple ones from each person who currently has a character in my sessions.

For anyone who would like to get involved but hasn't yet go ahead and think this through when you create your characters. For the moment go ahead and create at level 2 if you do so before our next session. If you're not sure of what level to create for from there on out just message me and I'll tell you.
