San Jose Lans is a group centered around gamers from the San Jose and neighboring area getting together, making friends, holding lan parties, and console gaming.

A LAN party is a temporary, sometimes spontaneous, gathering of people together with their computers, which they network together primarily for the purpose of playing multiplayer computer games. These local area networks (LANs) come in various sizes, from very small (two people) to very large (more than 10,000 people). Anyone in the area of san jose or surrounding cities is welcome to join and help make this happen.

* 18 years of age or more (preferably 21+)
* Computer must be able to handle any Source engine games (Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead 1/2, Half-Life 2, Day of Defeat Source, Counterstrike Source) at the minumum
* Mentally stable, we like to work as a team and above all have fun. We can't have members raging at others, causing a scene and generally being awkward.
* Illegal substances cannot and WILL NOT be brought to LAN parties.
* Respectful of other people's property. LAN parties will likely be held at someone else home besides your own, but treat it as if it WERE your own.
* Existing Steam account highly recommended, but not mandatory.
