The US Government is working with some of the largest media corperations and conglomerates in the world to "stop piracy". In fact, that is the smallest, most insignifigant possible application for this bill. This is George Dubbaya's Weapon of Mass Destruction, Internet edition. This gives anyone with enough money and any copyrights for digital media to take down sites they feel are somehow infringing on their copyrights.
I, personally, don't trust the massive media corperations that go after 12 year old pirates with MY websites, and why should you?

SOPA has many more implications, including destabilizing the Internet's economy, censoring profanity, blood, and more from YOUR videogames, possibly taking down Valve and Steam in one swift blow, and worst of all, it could even destabilize the Internet's core systems. Thats right. You heard me. SOPA could, and most likely WILL BREAK THE INTERNET.
