Revised Ranking System
So since the forums are down, I'm just going to post this here for now.

I have an idea for a new and revised ranking system. First you may ask, what's the problem with the current ranking system? The main issue is that the ranking system is based on only *quantity* of kills and not the *quality* of the player. The more kills you get, the higher your score is and the higher your rank goes. But this does not accurately represent the skill of a player. You have to play on the server every day or almost every day if you want to keep your rank in the top 10, which many can't do. This means that players who are unable to play all the time and may be better than others are displayed with a lower rank.

But how can we fix this? We can't use kill/death ratio alone, because then someone will come on the server, get 15 kills, leave, and be top rank and not be an active player. This doesn't work.

So here's my idea:

Have the score be the number of kills a player has, multiplied by their kill/death ratio. The maximum multiplier can be 5.

Everyone will have a higher score at first, until things even out. Then you'll see that it is much more fair because the players who don't play as much and are pros will be even with those who play a lot and are not as good.

For example:

Steve is an experienced CS surfer and he plays on the server 2-3 times a week.
His K/D is 1.5, and his number of kills is 500.
Joe is an inexperienced CS surfer and he plays on the server 5-6 times a week.
His K/D is 0.75 and his number of kills is 1000

By the current system, Joe is better than Steve.
By my system, Steve and Joe are even.

I think that maybe changing the max points could do it?

Right now you can only earn/lose max 25 points by changing the limit this would make it easier to climb the ladder?
