Removed and At Risk Game, DLC, and Software Discussion
As stated here, after years of having multiple threads for the same purpose divided by membership status, I've decided to combine all of the major threads related to removed content discussions into one thread available to everyone. While no information is actually hidden from non-members, having different posts with the same information or having people posting only in one place or another can cause problems for people who rely on the posts made here for help.

This thread will replace the current public and removed game information section threads related to removed game, dlc, and software information, creating one location for all (or at least most) of the information anyone interested in the purpose of the group will want or need. Some threads will still exist alongside this one, and this still won't be the place to post group related or general off-topic questions, but will be an important resource for anyone interested in removed and at risk content overall.

I should also note that because this will focus the discussion, it will be much more highly moderated to avoid spam.

Yes, this is a discussion thread (all of the previous threads were discussions as well, there were no dedicated thread, just fewer people posting which made topics more focused), and as a result, it can get a little off topic here and there, and some people prefer an open chat style of communication here to a more restrictive moderation system, but there definitely needs to be some balance. I'll clean up some of the posts here in a bit as the relevant side-discussion was moved, but I think clarifying a bit of what we want to see here vs what we don't want to see here would help a few people out. If there are any comments relevant to what I'm saying now, please address them in the thread created by Balduran, I'll be following that post as well.

What We Would Like To See:

X game was just removed.
X game is getting removed soon.
X game that is about to get removed is having a final discount / had a price drop.
X game is at some sort of immediate risk because Y.
X developer/publisher did something fishy and their games may be at risk.
X game is at general risk and temporarily free.
X game just got removed / is about to be removed, here's a link to the cheapest available source.
General discussions about why a game may get removed or why the game was removed.
Questions relating to a particular at risk game or removal.
Relevant links (steam store, steamdb, external links) for everything above.

What We Try To Avoid:

"Damn, I wish I bought that game."
"Glad I already bought that game."
"That post is off topic."
"That post complaining about an off topic post is off topic."
"This post was made already, but I'll post it again just in case." (Mentioning something again that's coming to some sort of deadline soon is fine if the original post was from a long time ago.)
General comments about free/cheap games/dlc that aren't at any particular risk, as there are tons of free games given away on a daily basis.
Posts completely unrelated to steam games.

There is a little latitude for what would be ok to post to make everyone happy (these are only guidelines, not strict rules), I'm not going to start deleting every single post I see that doesn't explicitly state a game is going to be removed, or already has been. I would rather encourage people to post rather than discourage it because it will only allow us more access to information overall. I would just appreciate less of these conversations that seem to derail the topic altogether. I obviously read this thread incredibly frequently, so if there are any real problems, I'll take care of it as best as I can, when I can, and if there something serious I should be made aware of, you can comment on my profile (or report the post, but save that for extreme circumstances) and I'll take a look.

The developer Dackpostal has been banned, resulting in both of their titles (Dead Pixels Adventure and BurnToDie) being removed along with soundtrack DLC for the former. Don't know why though, maybe fake reviews like usual.

One would suspect as it is most likely, fake accounts have been created and you know what happens afterwards of course.
