Here we are again with yet another major RCP update! I skipped an announcement for version 8.0.0 as I was still trying to work out how to deal with modding utilities in the program, and after some back and forth I've decided to make a new "Utilities" tab for those features. There you'll find tools such as being able to view and modify .cnt and .ipk archives and converting game files such as the UbiArt localization files. With these tools branching out beyond the supported Rayman games, including games such as Tonic Trouble, Child of Light and Just Dance, they can now be used without the game itself installed or added to RCP.


Version 9.0.0

• Added a utility for viewing/editing the .ipk files in Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends, allowing importing/exporting of textures and game files for UbiArt games
• Added the utilities page for general utilities, such as viewing .cnt/.ipk archives and converting certain game files
• Added the progression tab for Rayman 3
• Remade the Rayman 1 PlayStation soundtrack utility using a new implementation by PluMGMK

Other changes:
• Removed the Rayman Control Panel API while keeping parts of the new modular structure for future projects
• Removed the option to show the program under installed programs
• Updated the icon in the updater
• The primary ubi.ini path is no longer hard-coded
• Temporarily disabled the vertical widescreen option for Rayman 2
• The performance when repacking an archive and when loading thumbnails has been vastly improved
• When exporting mipmaps of an image in the Archive Explorer it now only shows the supported file extensions for that operation
• If repacking an archive file fails it will now restore the original file
• Rayman Control Panel is now displayed as Rayman Control Panel™
• Localization guidelines have been updated to not localize product names, such as Rayman Control Panel™
• Fixed a bug where repacking an archive file to a smaller size would keep some old data, maintaining the original file size
• Fixed a bug where certain tool tips would crash if the application ran through Wine on Mac
• Fixed a bug where browsing for a DOSBox config path would not allow files of the correct extension
• Fixed a bug where the application path would sometimes not be retrieved correctly
