Banned from SF or RoK or both
I saw someone else say they got banned for being a 'troll' and that's why I was banned as well.

So I had an idea, lets expose this a bit more shall we?

What did ya do exactly before they banned ya? For me, I posted a thread on RoK warning custimers to be careful buying the game. And pointed directly to SF to why they should be careful.

I took a screen shot of it http://tashrin.deviantart.com/art/Being-banned-for-giving-a-warning-518950236 as ya can see, I even gave a point to look up to.

Thread lasted 10 min before it was deleted and me banned from the RoK forums. They really want your money, afterwards they don't give a **** about what you think though. Can anyone verify the forum lock on RoK unless you buy the game first? I heard of this a while after I was banned.

Why where you banned?
And if in a short time, how long?

Codehatch wants to hide its screw up, yet expect those affted by it to shut up. Hope they are forced to realize that's not how it works.

Back before it released, I spent a pretty good amount of time on the SF forums asking for a way to be refunded, and questioning the developers, I recieved month long bans, three times I think.

EDIT: They have indeed blocked non-buyers from posting on their forums. Cowardly developers, I don't think they should be given any options like this.

They really stole money from their custimers with star forge, they refuse to own up to it. Yes there's their 'apoligy' but that is a bunch of bull**** really. It like I stole 100$ from ya, then told ya "Yeah sorry for stealing that, I learned in jail not to do that and I won't do it again." and never giving you any of the money anyway when you needed it.

And wow, "You can't talk at all unless we already have your money. that way if you speak of things we don't like we can ban you and give you the middle fingure." is what they are saying to all of the ex SF supporters.

That's ridiculous, that they apologized even; so they admit to having ripped us off.
They can't just go "we apologized, ah well, what a shame but we're keeping this money after fraudulent advertisment." What you said, yeah... these devs should be banned from using steam, if they don't fix their mess.

I was just banned from SF forums, looks like they're deleting all the posts too.

lol, they continue to try to silence all those that do not shut up about the frod Codehatch made.

If they gave me a refund, I would not care much at all, after all, then I'd have no more beef with them. But right now I got a pile of **** named star forge in my game library and I could really use the bit of cash back.

But that would be too honest and decent for such devs.

Well I finally got mine, and whoever made the forum post I saw deleted most likely got theirs too; http://prntscr.com/7fk7n3

I'll keep it in mind as a badge of honor.

That being said... these devs are abusing Steam and they're abusing their customers, I'd actually forgotten about the game for a while but by now I'm once again pissed off...
I seriously want Valve to just kick them out, other games have been kicked out for "death threats" or simply being particularly notorious ie Hatred (albeit for both examples only temporarily), so Valve clearly can and will decide what games are and aren't deserving to be in the store... heck, ArcheAge was removed for a while and they, at least, delivered even if it was crap. These devs are as toxic as it gets, and they not only remain, they're still abusing their control over the forums, and they've basically gotten away with fraudulent marketing... and Valve just leaves it alone.

Believe you me, I had pages upon pages of "this comment has been moved or deleted" notifications from the SF forums, as I didn't have the opportunity to unsub from a lot of posts before I was banned. Steam won't really do much as long as they get their cut IMO, the devs have got away with locking down those forums for the best part of a year now. Interestingly, the post linked when I was banned was me saying that I was ashamed to have put so much time into moderating for them and not seeing it until it was far too late (trolling and abusive behaviour reason). I only found out exactly what Juno knew when the NDA expired, which was far too late.

I got banned for saying on the StarForge forums that we need to stop Reign of Kings from getting on Steam.

Agreed that RoK really doesn't belong on Steam; Codehatch doesn't deserve to be on Steam, period. How does a developer rip off its customers so blatantly and disregard everything advertised and promised, and still remain here?

No one did anything about it. The majority of the game's community believed in their promises, because they hadn't heard of this sort of thing happening. Once it happened, they sort of just blocked it away.

Yeah it's ridiculous really. They just decided, let's go make another game. It's pretty sad because Valve won't do anything to do stop the early access program which has been mostly terrible. There are some positives to it but as a purchaser of what I consider to be 3 failed games that will never truly be completed (StarForge, Starbound, and The Dead Linger), something needs to be reworked.
Thana🍉 17 Jun, 2015 @ 12:44pm
Personally I thought Starbound was really good/what I paid for, though I suppose I never considered it "early access" so much as a full game with more being added on.

Starforge's my first time buying a game that just abandoned its customers like this, and not to mention my first time dealing with developers who've basically given the middle finger to their community like this.... I know there are others, though.

There is always some "risk" with early access, sure, but at this point it's just a falsely advertised scam, it doesn't belong on Steam at all.
Hoodie SZN 17 Jun, 2015 @ 1:08pm
I'm a little disappointed with Starbound but StarForge is really terrible. It is false advertising and for this alone, it needs to be taken off Steam. Not to mention that it's an unfinished buggy piece of shit.
Keyboard Cowboy 17 Jun, 2015 @ 1:19pm
They're guilty of so many anti-consumer practices. That's what makes this so much worse than lots of other Early Access failures.
Hoodie SZN 17 Jun, 2015 @ 1:23pm
Yeah, like Snowypaws not agreeing to the EULA and nothing being done about his refund or the fact that we were promised non existent features. I partially bought the game because of the promise of the cool parkour and weapon customization, neither of which were implemented.
