Not sure if anyone is still around, I've tried friending everyone on the thread. Big news is that Quakeworld is pretty active these days -- nightly events for TDM 2v2, 4v4, FFA, Clan Arena...and Thursday...QUAKEWORLD CTF! We actually have a good amount of folks join, including some nice 6v6s on THE WARZONE CTF2M2. Good times. Also, some of you folks asking about Blood Dog -- yes he still actively plays Quake although he is more of a DM player now. He would show up for CTF if we ask though :)

Hi, i have some trouble with CTF. I join the Server, walk few steps and suddenly the game freeze. :/
I try nQuake and FodQuake but same result. The console tell me: „warning Player Eyes or Player model does not match“ and „couldn't load the skins ctfb1.pcx and ctfb2.pcx“.

Most KTX servers have CTF enabled. just type "ctf" in the console to enable it, and type "maps" to see the available maps on that server.

Wow, long time no see for those whose names I remember. I go by apocalysque or FragMaker at the time that I was playing qwctf. Anyone still actually play this? I wouldn't mind playing again if it still works.

I chatted with Blood_dog today, sounds Ultimo ported CTF to a teamplay mod called KTX. There's a KTX server running in Denver which I believe is available for use.

QW seems to be alive (but quiet), although it sounds like most games are played in EU. There is an irc channel called #qw.na on irc.quakenet.org that I'm told is where people hang out.

Hey guys- Frost here from formerly clan prediction (pron)

Back in 2005, some of the oldschool NA players were playing competitive QWCTF in a European league on Euro servers. Ultimo, Blood_dog, Master, Skel, and some others. We used to idle in an IRC channel, but I'm not sure if they are still around or if the league is still around.

Anyways I ended up making a highlight video of them, which I had to take down from google video due to music copyrights. I just googled the name and it looks like someone else uploaded my video to youtube.

Also you need to have a working client and config file in advance ....dont want people trying to get their keys bound right during a game.

I used to play with Clan Ni and the infamous Clan Dogg Pound a little more than 10 years ago under the name nuker... anyone still playing this game? I miss it so much!

Wow. I miss Three wave and TW CTF. I'd love to be able to play this again without the need for a bot mod.

I suppose I should post a little info about myself. I used to play and was active on mIrc under the name grandmasterfunk, or gmf for short. I was active for a long time with the Muppet Clan and hung out and was friends with many different clans like 311, *69, FiTH, LoD (i ran with them under the name Poop, I was young then). I can't remember much else with it being at least 13 years ago. I also played a TON on the old videogame service Mplayer, in fact I'm still using to this day my Mplayer mousepad I won in one of their tourney's.

Hello everyone! Awesome group, I just wanted to say that I've been wanting to play Quake again for some time and found this group via Scribble's Threewave CTF youtube video. I hope this group is still excited and eager to play some Quake, because I can definitly round up more RL friends to play. Again, awesome group and please let me know if this group is still kicking. I could throw an EU CTF server up if we saw enough of a .eu interest. I'd most llikely just run KTPro on it, and lock it into CTF mode with a MOTD that pointed people at the stuff needed to play (even though it should all be autodownloadable too).
