a few small things i have to mention about Platformines from my perspective: first and foremost you are competing with borderlands 2. you'll want to figure out something more than spelunky meets borderlands as a concept of how gameplay works to get the edge that'll set you out. one person mistakenly thought it was a metroidvania game, and perhaps you could feed into that by having certain pieces of additional, but optional gear, that lets them find better loot. robodig is a good difference on it's own. secondly, i was thinking perhaps in all 4 weapon types there would be a bit more variety. pistols deal less dmg but carry more ammo, revolvers are the oppisite, for example. also, multiplayer, seeing as that would allow people to visit each other's worlds (though robodig parts would be that of the host only so that those who are ahead don't beat the game for them) here's hoping platformines does prosper.

How about a reddit giveaway. The number of lurkers on that site is insane. Get a few Desura keys together and say they have to drop a comment in this comunity group and Greenlight page then post there Steam name on the reddit page. Sure to get some greenlight votes.
