http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2013/09/16/study-religious-people-more-likely-to-reject-the-idea-that-life-has-no-purpose/
Are we being ignorant and assuming all religious people are super fanatic and are practically drugged on religion so it makes them so happy all the time and in turn, they somehow live longer?
Or perhaps we're again being ignorant and assuming all irreligious people are depressed and cynical so they die sooner?
Both of these assumptions are very stupid.
Morals in what sense? Your definition there doesn't really fit in with the rest of your text. Also, basing morality on either the Bible or Quran is disgusting, they both have quite a bit of abhorent material in them.
Also, those examples, they make me sigh. Disregarding the fact that what we know of Jesus and Solomon is highly suspect, Joan of Ark wasn't even a leader per se and the founding fathers of the United States supported slavery, hardly a great moral position to take no matter what way you look at it and in no way humanitarian.
And religious people live longer and happier lives because they choose to lie to themselves to make themselves feel better. If you wish to do that, fine, but I think you are weaker for it.
Also Christianity and Islam are fundamentally the same, what makes Islam worse is the culture it is prevalent in. If you look at first world muslims, they are largely secular and abhor the actions of their kin.
"It is time for a change in the west. For too long we have let the idea that all cultures are created equal poison our reasoning. Christianity is better than islam in almost every respect. Religious people live happier and fuller lives than athiests."
