409th Blue passed away a year ago

Blue had been a long time total war player in the ETW community and somewhat in the NTW community. The above clans are all that he either led or served under.

The 409th is the clan he probably spent the most time in, second only to the 2 clans he founded. As a member he provided many invaluable insights into the community for me back in those early days, helping me keep my eyes and ears across the community for signs of trouble, or for drama. His service was at times rocky and his loyalties did sway but more often than not he was on my side.

As a player blue was not the greatest asset to the 409th but a asset nonetheless. He fought and beat key players in ETW such as skritshell 1v1, proving that he was capable. In NTW he showed great adaptability to the game, being capable of nearly beating me 1v1 Spain vs france, he with spain and me with France. But around this time is when his condition degraded his ability to the point that he could no longer produce the necessary motor function to play TW games on a high level. That was the last game I saw blue playing at a high level. Admittedly he could have been so much better if not for his condition.

Me and him also met in real life when I visited him at the hospital. It was then that I met the real blue....he was kind, caring and quite happy that a friend he'd only known online, was willing to cross that barrier and meet him in the real world. I really wanted to have hung out with him in the real world but unfortunately that was never to be.

Goodbye forever blue. I'll miss you. You will forever be a recognized part of 409ths history, and a friend I wish I could have spent more time with.
