Starting a clean character for the new map?

With 1.2.4 being the final major update until Terraria 2, i believe it would be fun to have brand new characters to use for this map. Thoughts?

With the brand-spanking new update ready to play, I believe a new map would be beneficial to have regarding the new content this update has to offer. Though, if anyone of you want me to keep the current server up so you can retrieve your belongings, PLEASE let me know so we don't have a half-hearted dispute over it. Thank you and enjoy!
