For those of you who may be worried about what Ubisoft/Rocksmith will do next or you have a lot invested into your dlc, check out Tonelib products.

Tonelib Jam is an alternative guitar practice software that is actually better than Rocksmith in many aspects, it even reads your RS dlc/cdlc files, guitar pro songs and other formats. The only catch is that it doesn't actively score your playing.

I was getting frustrated with trying to make RS work every time they put out an update so I found this to be an excellent solution for my needs. ymmv of course.
