moderators for TemTem are actively banning and restricting people for an opinion. reflected in the recent negative reviews.
lx 20 Jul, 2023 @ 4:10am
im out of here guys, its been a lonely ride
Mr Noseybonk 31 Jul, 2022 @ 9:57am
Looks like a dead group, but I will declare "Mu77ley" a moderator on the "Elite Dangerous" boards to be an abusive moderator.
lx 9 Nov, 2021 @ 7:22pm
hello there
Shotgun 8 Sep, 2018 @ 6:53am
Not dead, but it's too small to make a tangible difference, I think. People are still free to post here as they please.
Fumo Bnnuy n Friends 7 Sep, 2018 @ 8:15pm
is this group ded?
because the min it died like 10 games started having mod (or rather devs) start treating their players unfairly
Shotgun 24 Sep, 2016 @ 9:34am
They won't tell you that. Also, I really doubt they will reprimand any mods for prior activities. It's more likely that extra rules will be set for them instead, which is a better outcome anyway.
Lithrun 24 Sep, 2016 @ 5:47am
Well in my case they said: "Thanks for reporting, we are still investigating". If I don't get a responce within 2 weeks I will ask for a status report if possible, since I would like to know if the moderator will get warned and/or punished for abuse
Shotgun 23 Sep, 2016 @ 7:08pm
Update:

There is some progress on Valve's side with regard to Steam moderatorship. Harassment cases will now be escalated for review, instead of acted on by the volunteer mods. I hope that there is further dialogue with Steam support regarding the overall structure of the moderatorship system.

Also, I was told that my community suspension was given incorrectly. A small victory for our rights, but a victory nevertheless.

Finally, Steam support asked me to clarify the group's stance on harassment, which I did in a new announcement.
Magron 18 Sep, 2016 @ 8:05pm
I think it's hilarious..the kind of customer base/culture that they've developed here can't support the company. They're glad to be protected by the mamamods but they're worthless as customers. whatta surprise. LOL
Magron 18 Sep, 2016 @ 8:02pm
you know...it may not matter. From a business standpoint, there's every possiblility that Valve/Steam is in trouble as a company.
The hardware was a desperation move and by all reports it failed miserably.
Look at the crap they've been trying to fill their inventory with the last 3 or 4 years. LOL
I've a strong suspicion the mod club is going to lose it's inflatable love doll in the near future.
Lithrun 18 Sep, 2016 @ 2:45am
Well it sucks that I didn't took any screenshots of the things that were deleted, since well I could have never imagined that this could have happened. In all my years on Steam I have never run into any trouble and now I crossed that moderator's path and got 2x a 1 day ban for posting replies here, and 2 game specific ban.

I hope that there is a moderator log in Steam so the Steam Support can check it and see who deleted stuff, for my personal sake and for this group.
Shotgun 17 Sep, 2016 @ 9:11pm
Update: Steam support has told me that Eram is the one responsible.

In contact with support over it now.

Please take screenshots. I am the only admin in this group, which means that any other bans are handed out by Steam mods.

Taking screenshots of everything that goes on in here and my interactions with any mods and support personnel. I feel validated in my belief that I indeed made a post here about coming back that was removed by someone else. It was too minor to document at the time, but at least now we know.
Lithrun 17 Sep, 2016 @ 3:50am
Hey I have had the same, I got banned twice now for 1 day for posting something here...

I posted like 2 times in this feed and replied twice to a topic, yet I still got banned by an abusive moderator for this reason: reactions lol
Shotgun 16 Sep, 2016 @ 8:37pm
They watered down EVE too. I doubt I'll ever come back in any serious capacity.
Magron 16 Sep, 2016 @ 8:24pm
Eve's too much work..i signed up a couple days ago to try WoW again after 10 years but it's so watered down now I don't see renewing my sub after the initial 30 days is done
Magron 16 Sep, 2016 @ 8:15pm
I'm having trouble caring. Nobody wants to fight the battle.
Steam is pretty much irrelevant to me now anyway..the kind of customer base they've developed can't play anything interesting apparently.
There's little or nothing new and the classic games I want to get are on gog for the same money. With no drm at all so..
One person more or less won't make or break them, but I'll bet we add up to a noticable fraction and it makes me happy so..
Shotgun 16 Sep, 2016 @ 7:45pm
I seriously think that what set it off is a few messages being sent at the same time during one of my chats with friends, because I use the mobile client a lot, and spotty wireless service causes connection losses that result in this.

Because I don't know what else it could be. I haven't had any hostilities with anyone on my friends list, and anything I say on forums would result in forum bans, and not a community suspension. I haven't commented on anyone's profile, or sent trade requests, in a long, long time.
Magron 16 Sep, 2016 @ 7:41pm
lol hilariously childish ain't it?
Shotgun 16 Sep, 2016 @ 6:48pm
Honestly I'm not 100% sure if I did post something here recently at this point, so I'll concede that for now. But that aside, the only thing they're telling me about the suspension is that they can't tell me what I did wrong, but if i do it again, they will punish me harder, and that that's the extent of what I'm going to get out of them unless I sue Valve.
Magron 16 Sep, 2016 @ 6:48pm
have a look at minds. com there are some grownups there
Magron 16 Sep, 2016 @ 6:44pm
I'm sure shotgun. We're on a list and the petty little SJW's they call mods here have long and bitter little 12 year old memories. I haven't spent any money here in quite some time.
Shotgun 15 Sep, 2016 @ 9:23pm
Also I'm just realizing now that I've posted something here recently, and now it's gone. I think I said that I'm going to try to be more active soon. It was my only activity in my group for many months as well. Now I'm starting to wonder if the two are related.
Shotgun 15 Sep, 2016 @ 9:21pm
Not really sure what's what with this platform anymore. Just got a 1-day community suspension for "stalking," despite not having talked to anyone except friends from my list for months now. Not even a forum ban, mind you. Just a "community" ban (as in profile comments, trading, and stuff like that - nothing that I've made use of in many months).

Also, it's a fact that I'm not guilty of this simply because I haven't stalked anyone at any point. So this is either some kind of glitch (which probably won't get resolved for me, since this is Steam after all), or someone frivolously reported me, and I got punished without a proper investigation.
Punch 18 Jun, 2016 @ 12:41am
When my bans will be released after 2 more days, I'll come back with a BANG! Me must start doing other threads over Steam about moderator abuse!
Magron 4 Mar, 2016 @ 1:51pm
Spent over $100 on games from GoG and GamersGate. Steam saw none of it and never will again.
Magron 20 Jan, 2016 @ 4:03pm
People that volunteer for and seek power are often the very last ones that should have it.
certain type indeed.
but all they can do is block me and i couldn't care less..so I mock..they steam. LOL
Shotgun 16 Jan, 2016 @ 10:49am
Ah, that guy. I used to know him personally for quite some time after meeting him on the...EVE forums, I think? That was before he started trying to become a mod in various game forums (he's not a community mod). He used to, and I kid you not, constantly send me links to gay furry hentai. I have a thick skin and don't really care or get offended, but it was still weird. He also tried to get everyone he met (including myself) to install TeamViewer under the pretense of giving technical support.

And after he became an H1Z1 mod, he kept locking my threads and deleting my posts to troll me. Then I made fun of him once in public (in a relatively mild manner, too), and he got angry and blocked me.

He was always pretty up-front about doing the mod thing for the power trip, too.

Well, like I always said, there's a certain type that goes after these positions.
[unassigned] 16 Jan, 2016 @ 12:46am
Classic example of a mod using their powers to 'get the last word'.

http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/app/208650/discussions/0/458604254458386041/#c451850849187033046

It makes it impossible to counter or disprove them, leaving them with a sense they're always right (which results in them abusing their power when challenged, since they aren't used to it).

Not put as a case, simply because it was a low-level abuse of power and just a single game mod.
Magron 14 Jan, 2016 @ 4:36pm
the bottom line is, paying customers shouldn't be victimized by childish decisions by wanna be SJW's out to feel important.
Magron 14 Jan, 2016 @ 4:35pm
"Toby Jan 5 @ 5:21pm
Do you think its worth it? I've emailed steam support to see what thier policy is or if its (as I suspect) a gray area"

Toby..worth what? a few minutes of time and a minimal effort? why not? at the very least it pisses them off. that in itself is worthy. why should they be just handing out irritation without suffering any? LOL
LegendCZ 6 Jan, 2016 @ 11:24am
Hello really thank you for inviting me in! This group needed to be made and spread around. Will post my experice latter.
Shotgun 5 Jan, 2016 @ 3:01pm
I made this group so that people would have a place to voice their issues and concerns.

Valve is not our friend. The only friend that Valve has is money. But negative press gets in the way of that friendship. Meaningful change will only come when there's enough activity in this community for Valve to start noticing a "problem." If you want to help achieve this change, then make your voice heard. A private group like this is the only place you can, really, because if you make any mod-related posts in the Steam forums, they'll get deleted and you'll be punished.
Toby 5 Jan, 2016 @ 2:21pm

Shotgun 3 Jan, 2016 @ 1:34pm
Make a thread with the details.
Toby 3 Jan, 2016 @ 8:38am
Thanks for the invite. I felt a bit trampled on, even though I love steam and have been a avid consumer on it

Had my posts locked when I was giving away leftover keys from the humble bundle. Never had a problem before but the mod never provided a rule that was broken and when I asked for clarification he said it was a waste of time then deleted the comments (there where two entirely civil requests for information) and stopped me from asking any questions. I felt that the moderator had little to no reason for this lock accept that he personally didn't agree with it and that does not seem like good conduct for a moderator. When I tried to talk about mod performance in general (entirely civil) he locked my thread and stated a previous answer that had nothing to do with the thread.
PirateGary 1 Jan, 2016 @ 12:26pm
Thanks for the invite, I just made a FB post about this subject, since I get Banned discussing it here. I, after 9 months of no trouble with these people simply ask a mature honest question and this was a reply I got, INSANE
His REPLY:
"You're lucky you didn't get a permanent in this discussion from the last ban. Also when you break the rules it doesn't matter if one Moderator banned you from all of those sections. It's our "job" to Moderate. It's like telling the cops are targeting a criminal with known offense. It's silly."

Thanks Again.

you must have gotten an invite and clicked accept...obviously by accident. the same way you got that stupid toolbar on your browser. LOL If you've been dumped on by the mods..stay and tell your story
Knight Bellmont 14 Dec, 2015 @ 4:50pm
I've uh, Literally no Idea as to why I was added to the group? o.O
Shotgun 7 Dec, 2015 @ 3:32pm
All previous existing comments, including those made by both Steam Community moderators and normal Steam users, have been deleted by an unknown moderator. One of the case report threads explains in more detail. None of the comments were abusive, or breached any of Steam's rules.

If you post something, make sure to document it well. I won't delete anything anyone posts unless it breaches Steam's harassment policies, and even then I will provide documentation and reasons for the removal.
