Group Stance on Harassment

Everyone should be aware that while it's common to see moderators, and even Valve itself, as the "enemy" (or more accurately, the opposition) in terms of this group's goals, we're still obligated to act according to Steam's Terms of Service.

That means anything that can be interpreted as real-life harassment isn't allowed. Threats, incitement of violence, et cetera, are all a no-go. In fact, I'm obligated to take moderator action myself against anyone who steps over this line. Here's an example:

Okay
Calling a moderator a terrible gamer because he can't go above a 1:1 KDR in CS:GO.

Not Okay
Saying that "it's about time that someone pulled up the address of one of those ******s and put a .357 through their skull so that the world has one less "Stasi" running around."

See the difference? Even if the second one is said tongue-in-cheek, it can still be interpreted, no matter how irrationally, as an incitement of real-life violence.

So just don't do anything that can be intertreted as such. In fact, if you even want to, then this group isn't for you.

part 2) so trick is if you find yourself at odds with a mod over minor stuff take the time to back up everything you can also use Archive.is to take entire page shots in a format that cant be disputed as altered.

this may seem off in an OP about harassment but the users can also the recipients of abuse by the mods the entire point of this type of group. try not to dig a hole for yourself with agression when you can simply post proof of instead

One thing you also need to be aware of in regards to harassment the edge will always be in favor of the Mod! so calling them lousy gamers even if you list their lack of accomplishment and post citations of. the Mods who look at the thread have the last word and it'll always be to favor a mod over a user.

if you do chose to debate a MOD be certain to have your facts straight, take the time to get the screenshots that support your side before you go post if you have a citation of what you say people will see that and so will the mods they may play dirty and delete threads but you can always appeal to higher order if you have screne shots of what you cited and of the post the mods chose to delete. nothing says " Hey the mods are abusing their position" like an email to the powers that be with a list of citation shots attached to it"
