Announcing the Mine Little Crafty Fallout Event!

Q: What is Fallout?
A: Through Tuesday, Firespread, explosions, creepers, and everything else will be enabled.

Q: Will I lose all of my stuff...?
A: No, after the end of the event we will restore the map and data ensuring your hard-earned materials and builds will remain with you.

Q: So what do?
A: Team up with other players, blow up cities, defend your builds, construct forts, loot, pillage, and create your own adventure! Equestrian cities will be open to attacks as well, so you can either defend them, destroy them, or try to fortify and reside within them.


Q: What about griefers? And Chat?
A: Since the map will be restored on Tuesday, griefing really isn't an issue here. Any player may attack your fort, builds, or what not- It's up to YOU to defend them! As for chat, the same rules still apply.

Q: Why not give more notice?
A: Panic, desperation, and last-minute actions make for the most entertaining gameplay styles here. We really want players to do whatever they want as soon as they enter the server rather than planning ahead.

First off, I would like to apologize for the incoming wall of text, but I'll try and make it as interesting as possible ^^; As most of you know, we've arrived at the 1-year anniversary of Mine Little Crafty! Rather than just throw some streamers across the place (which we'd like to do anyway, 'cause who doesn't like streamers?) we're expanding our horizons and offering you, the community that has made this server so great, the chance to come together in other ways than Minecraft through our new site and overall name: Square Horse Gaming. You can find the new website here: http://www.squarehorse.com/ as well as an abundance of new information including a full detailed list of our rules, an FAQ section, the information to log on to our brand new Team Fortress 2 & DayZ servers, and an overall more customizable forum experience!

So what does this mean for Mine Little Crafty? Well, the server will be getting some updated features including new class abilities, new class kits, and even 2 new classes: Bat Ponies and Crystal Ponies!We're looking to make the server experience you've all come to know & love even better by giving you guys more diversity among classes as well as more content within the game! We'll still enable flying for all classes to give an even ground for players to build and move around on, however we felt the desire to add in some abilities that are specific to each class as well as the current unique kits. Along with these changes come upgrades to our Equestrian builds- 3 new cities are currently being constructed, Scootalot, Dogburn, and Trottingham along with the reconstruction of Manehattan! This means more housing for all, as well as a more diverse range of environments within Equestria! To add some more enticing news onto this, there is a series of lore between Dogburn & Scootalot that can only lead to conflict down the line… This means that citizens of either city may have some tough choices to make down the line, and eventually it could even break out into war- what this means, is up to your ponderings until we can officially announce our future plans for these cities ^-^

Along with a new site & upgrades to MLC, we'll also be revamping the donor system, rearranging some of the old perks to be more relevant to donor levels, and even adding in some new rewards! What does this mean for current donators? Well, anyone who has donated prior to this post will retain their current set of perks, and any donations they make in addition to their previous payments will go towards the new and previously unobtained perks. For example, if you previously had a title from the old set of donation perks, you will retain that title, and all future donations will go towards any of our new rewards. So why reorganize the donation perks? We wanted to be able to grant perks across all of our new gaming servers equally rather than only focus on certain games; this means that each donation tier will include rewards for both Mine Little Crafty and Team Fortress 2!

Another big focus we want to have is user created content, by introducing spotlights on the front page of our local musicians, video creators, makers of art/crafts, and even in-game creations! We really want to help highlight the community's talent and dedication to the pony fandom! This new site and the additional game servers are going to be about you guys- and we want to thank you for continuing to contribute to our community!

We're going forward with the update, and have updated fully to 1.5.1. Keep in mind this IS a dev-build of Bukkit, so there WILL be bugs, so please report any you come across to staff so we can look into it before it becomes an issue.
