Around 6 months ago, MEGARust was the 2nd ranked modded server in Australia.

Admins will be very active in the server as we're always on rust, however we do not play in the server at all, we simply administrate it. We want to provide you with the very best modded server experience, so half the time you wont even know where there, but we will be.

We have an AntiCheat plugin, so if anyone tries to use a flyhack or speedhack in the server, they will be banned very quickly. Hackers will not be tolerated.

MEGARust use to be a very popular server so we know what it takes to run a modded server with a high population, so we have done a lot of work to reduce the mods footprint on the server and we have also paid a lot of extra money for a high performance server and extra memory, so you can rest assured that there should be little to no lag in the server.

We currently only have 50 slots, but as soon as we hit 50 players we will upgrade to 100, and then possibly 150 depending on performance, server performance is very important to us as we know most modded servers have terrible performance after a few days.

Other then the mods in the name we also have: AntiCheat- To more efficiently catch hackers. PM- To allow private messaging. RankMe Stats- Full stat collector. Customised InfoPanel- I like the Info Panel, but it was to big and in your face so I made a few tweaks to it, which should also make it use a lot less server resources then other servers. SkipNightVote- to allow skipping of night time.

We are open to any suggestions, as we want to build a server that people want to play in.

The new update is out, and apparently its its going to boost server performance, so i've decided to wipe the server with the update to see the full effects of these improvements.

Hopefully if server performance does improve we can go back to longer wipe cycles.

The update has come out early, so the wipe has also come slightly early.
It is a massive update which will shift gameplay completely.

Along with the wipe i have made a lot of changes to the server, including limiting where ladders can be placed.

Hopefully we can get our numbers back to what they use to be!

Mass Server Changes.

You may have noticed server numbers have been very low over the past month. Numbers usually pick up for a few days after a wipe, then slowly diminish to an average of between 15-30 until the following weekend.
This week we've struggled to get more then 10 people on since peaking at 50 on sunday. For this reason i will be making mass changes to the server including, Adding New Mods, Updating Mods, and Reconfiguring a lot of old mods to overall improve gameplay in the server and hopefully increase server popularity again.

Map Wipe.

Earlier in the week we had a few people trying to crash the server, they succeeded a few times and ever since then server performance has been terrible at best. Also server numbers have never gotten this bad before. So i have decided to wipe the server with the update coming out on the 24th of July. I will also be rolling out mass server changes in a last ditch attempt to revive the server to its former glory. (We were at one point ranked 1st in AUS.)

Side Note.

If servers numbers don't at least increase to an acceptable level, i may have to think about taking the server down, as the time and effort that needs to be put into a server with this many mods each and every day can get a bit much, especially when server numbers are this low. Hopefully it doesn't come to this.
