[SOLVED] Bit of a silly question...
Hi guys. I'm obviously here because I'm trying to run the Linux-Steam beta with Bumblebee.

I haven't been able to test out any of the scripts in the Tips and Tricks section, because there's a minor issue. The scripts point to directories within my home directory (~/Steam/Steamapps etc). My Steam was not installed there and no such directories exist. Instead, it's under "~/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/"

Have I done something wrong during the install (I used gdebi to install the package), or is this an older/newer version than the one these scripts were intended for? I could probably adapt the scripts but I just want to make sure I haven't screwed up my installation.

Mostly it seems to work. Killing Floor works with optirun and integrated, TF2 works with integrated. It's just that the directory path is different.

Turns out the script doesn't need modification (you bash wizards make me feel so inadequate), and TF2 runs flawlessly. Way better than on Windows or through Wine, in fact.

I still wonder how the heck Steam ended up in the wrong place, but it doesn't seem to matter. Thanks, CyberXZT!

Quite a few people have reported different locations for Steam. I am guessing Valve keeps changing the location for new installs. Great to see it works though!
