GOT BANNED? READ THIS
THIS THREAD IS OUTDATED, READ THE ACTUAL THREAD HERE.

Make sure your ban wasn't a ban from a vote-kick. If there are no admins or mods on the server when you were banned and you saw a voting menu that is the same as what you would see for calling votes to restart maps, then it was a vote-kick. Vote-kick is disabled when there are staff in the server.

If it was indeed a vote-kick, it's not worth posting that you want to be unbanned or whatnot. By the time we see it, the ban will probably have been lifted. HOWEVER, we're now able to log who calls votes, and when and where they're called. We'll now be better able to help find vote-kick abusers quicker and more efficiently. Also note that no one player can call more than one vote-kick per map on the silly servers. This is a preventative measure to help against vote-kicking sprees from abusive players.

Bans from being vote-kicked last only 30 minutes. It says this in all caps on the group description...

If you're still not sure then you can check our Sourcebans page[lazypurple.net]. If your name is there, then it wasn't a vote-kick and it was one of the staff that banned you. If this is the case, you can always send in a ban appeal. Complaining about your ban on the group discussions more than likely will just hurt your case even more, since it just shows everyone that you want to whine about it instead of taking the genuine effort and time to send in a ban appeal. Appeals are checked at least daily, and I consider each one and will most likely reply to each one.

I (and I think I can speak for others here) am getting pretty tired of seeing threads of complaining about vote-kicks/bans when if they took the time to inform themselves could have saved themselves the trouble of making a thread that probably won't go anywhere.

Save the group discussions for threads that actually contribute and are fitting to the group. Like suggestion/idea threads or fun, silly threads in general, for example.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Posting on the profile of the admin or mod who banned you to complain is probably the LAST thing you would ever want to do if you want someone to deal with your ban. In fact, most times it can even extend it since you're taking it to a personal level. So don't do it.
