Yes, you were born that way

EST Nuvenor, I do agree to some points, I don't like how people bash on other people due to their different perspectives. But, there is also something about sin that a lot of people misunderstand.

A lot of people think there is a "Bad Sin/Heavy Sin" and a "Good Sin/ Light Sin" however this isn't true. There is only Sin.

An example : Say there is an adult who stole from the cookie jar, now compare it to an adult torturing someone. Naturally, you would probably say the adult who stole from the cookie jar is a "Light Sin" and the other is a "Heavy Sin". However, they are both equal. Even though the outcome is different, the 2 adults brains thought almost in the same way. Just in a different situation.

So, if being gay is a sin, it is equal to every other sin. (same with stealing from a cookie jar)

But you are saying that you refuse to believe being gay is a sin. Gay Love might be natural. But back then before the world got corrupted I am pretty sure no one was gay or even thought of it back then.

After the fall happened, the unnatural became the natural. It may be natural to us, but not to God.

Also, God isn't judging Gays. Or else God would be sinning. Since he would be comparing himself to others.

Anyway this is just my perspective on your topic.

But your good book surely does not equalize stealing a jar of cookies with laying with someone the same sex. Your owner's manual specifically instructs you to kill them.

If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them. (Leviticus 20:13)

Is homosexuality just as bad as killing/raping/pillaging ? Can't it just, you know, not be a sin?

You said they are both equal. They are both sin. I fail to comprehend that you don't have different tiers of sin. How can both just be "sin" ? Does that make it just as bad?

Warning this here is a messed up ramble now.

Besides that, Homosexuality is actively aiding our planet. We are too many humans on this planet. Homosexual couples don't reproduce, thus set an end to the bloodline there. More homosexual couples and the amount of humans is declining. This is a very, very good thing as we have reached the limit the planet can support.

Us humans took your god too literal and our reign of this planet is destroying it. Just like a colony of bacteria we will at some point reach the point of collapse. With our homo friends we can at least stabilite for a bit.

Warning over. Return to topic

In any case. If a sin is a sin, no matter what you've done. Well, if hell exists at least I will meet all my friends down there. I have no intention of changing anything about my "sinful" life. I'd rather dwell in paganism if I had to pick a religion. Granted, I don't know much about it and would have to read up on it and I am certain there are many, many messed up parts. But it seems intriguing.

Cheerio,
Nuvenor

Actually, the scripture you quote instructs Christians to do nothing of the sort. Some of the laws are specifically in regards to sin, but others, however, are laws specifically for the Jewish people to set them apart from the other nations and religions of the world. Holding Christians, or anyone else really, to Jewish laws is folly. A Christian, and no one except for the Jewish people, are instructed the execute homosexuals. And on top of that, that was specifically among the Jewish people. I could be mistaken, but I don't think it applies for Jewish people to execute homosexuals outside of their faith.

Aw man, i can't find it. But i assume that it is the Apocrypha
BTW, if you were refering to the Apocrypha, it is rather easy to get your hands on a copy. The books are not considered canonical by most of Christandom (with the major exception being Roman Catholicism) because there are some contradictions in it (Roman Catholics will even admit this). However, even though they aren't considered canonical, they were standard in most every Bible up until sometime in the mid 19th century I believe. They were kept in their own section between the testaments because despite being non-canon, they were considered good and useful to read.

However, they were removed from the Bible by the printing publishers on account that they assumed that because they were not considered equal to scripture, people were not reading them and as such, cut them out to save money. I actually have my own English Standard Version of the Apocrypha on my bookshelf, though I have not had time to sit down and read it, yet.

An interesting note, when the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod was releasing their The Lutheran Study Bible, they were actually going to originally include The Apocrypa as part of it. However, due to time constraints, the amount of worth that still needed to be done, and the fact that most people were unfamiliar with The Apocrypha, they left it out. However, they continued the work with it and then some and a year or two later released The Apocrypha that was intended to be in The Lutheran Study Bible with all of the notes, history, and then some. In a sense, this worked out better because they were able to release a product for people who really wanted to get their fingers dirty in The Apocrypha in a way that they would not have been able to do if it were released in The Lutheran Study Bible as they had originally intended.
