There was a silly damn bird called a Phoenix back before Christ: every few hundred years he built a pyre and burned himself up. He must have been first cousin to Man. But every time he burnt himself up he sprang out of the ashes, he got himself born all over again. And it looks like we're doing the same thing, over and over, but we've got one damn thing the Phoenix never had. We know the damn silly thing we just did. We know all the damn silly things we've done for a
thousand years, and as long as we know that and always have it around where we can see it, some day we'll stop making the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ funeral pyres and jumping into the middle of them. We pick up a few more people that remember, every generation.

It's been a while since i first set out on the adventure to save the humans... I still remember the time i assisted my bro ,Gordon Freeman, when he was fighting the final boss... I still remember the time I avenged my bro after the next boss stepped on him... I still remember seeing my own brother turn into a head crab zombie... I still remember the combines took over many cities... I still remember the war against combines... I still remember my bro betrayed the humans and joined the combines side... I still remember I killed my brother... I still remember his last words "Combines made me trick bro, I'm sorry..."...I still remember *one tear falls out of my right eye* I killed those bloody combines... I remember I died fighting... i still remember... I saved the humans! I still remember God gave me a second chance and now I'm back. I still remember... *Sigh* This happened four years ago, but I feel like this just happened yesterday... I telling this to you is because memory is something precious... Memories creates stories... Memories save lives... Remember this... As I remembered this for four years...
