Japan exclusive shmup Griffin now on Steam

This isn't an indie game at all, but it seems like this release has completely gone under everyone's radar so I thought I'd make a post.

Back in 1991, Telenet Japan released a top-down tank-based shmup called Griffin. It was released on Sega Game Gear, and was never released outside of Japan.

It's now available on Steam.

We've never had the chance to play the original (cartridges still go for a fortune on eBay) so we can't say how this compares. But if you're curious, take a look!

Memory's Dogma finally complete

The folks behind Memory's Dogma just completed its story in a fifth light novel (currently only available to backers of their original crowdfunding effort, a decade ago)

It's published by Spike Chunisoft... Indie doesn't mean "small team."

This game was developed by an extremely small studio, less than 10 people so it counts as a Japanese indie.
