A league for hardcore, tactical and competitive fps/military sims in VR.

This group is dedicated to high-level players interested in competitive play, tournaments as well as finding like-minded tactical players to play with during the week.

THINGS WE WILL DO:

- Play together (random matches)
- Create rotating teams
- Have tournaments and challenges
- Once the league and tournaments reach a certain level of maturity, I plan to introduce buy in Pots and Prizes!

REQUIREMENTS:

- You are friendly and respectful.
- You are a high-level player.
- You are a team player and use your comms/mic religiously.
- You love strategy
- You want to play with other like-minded players
- You want the true tactical, team-based experience.

THE GROUP IS GROWING.. SO WHAT'S NEXT?

I'm very happy to see the group grow. We're currently at 45 hard-core members ranging over various time-zones and skill levels. So, what's next? I wanted to take a bit of time to outline a rough roadmap of what I what is to come but before I do that:

Dante, the creator of the game has reached out to me and proposed helping with the group. Of course, I think that would be fantastic. There may be some caveats to that so I will hold off until we speak further and let you all know what the future holds.

I want this to become a serious league which in the future can potentially encompass other competitive and tactical VR games.

The biggest barrier to serious competitive play right now as I see it, is the following:

- Onward's technical audio glitches
- Onward does not currently have a way of inviting friends to your server or a creating a private server.

I'm sure these things will be ironed out in due time, until then here is what I envision for this group and league.

In the coming weeks, as people become more familiarized and the game improves I will begin holding trials and giving everyone a rank. Based on these ranks and randomization we will create several groups of teams. These teams will be a starting foundation for round-robin competitive play.

I hope to have a bulletin board with current team ranks and tournament stats on here as well.

Also, in the coming weeks I will begin surveying and polling members on their desire for tournament schedule and frequency.

Eventually, I would like to get to a place where there is serious competition, perhaps including a cumulative pot of prizes; based on everyone
buying into a specific tournament. For now however, we will simply do it for ranking and bragging rights.

Guys, even if this game is dead, who's interested in such tactical gaming, also outside VR? I can't find anyone interested in such gameplay. I want to play daily.

Solo looking for team!
I am good at short/medium range SMGs (specialist m4 and mp5) and often uses LMGS for long range covering fire and uses pistol well when needed.
I use mic with clear info and works well with a team who knows the map and what they are doing.
I am only online in the weekends and have played 100s of hours even if steam says i have <100

Hey guys. This group looks pretty sweet and I'd love to get in a couple matches with some likeminded players. I'd love to see how this can turn into a *real* simulation. Looking forward to getting up and calling in and flanking some spotted enemies ahead. ;) haha
