The Hashira (柱はしら Hashira?, lit. Pillars) are the nine most powerful swordsmasters in the Demon Slayer Corps. As such, they are the organization's top-ranking, most elite soldiers who each serve a pivotal role in their war against Muzan Kibutsuji.
