John 9:6-7

John 9:6-7:
6 When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay.
7 And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.

Here can be a very strong connection between Christ's act in John 9:6-7 and God's creation process:

Genesis 2:7:
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
Job 10:9:
Remember, I pray, that You have made me like clay.
And will You turn me into dust again?
Isaiah 64:8:
Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.

Through the Eternal Word all people were made (John 1:1-3) from the dust:

John 1:1-3:
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
Colossians 1:16-17:
16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

Genesis 2:7:
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

So He - Jesus Christ, used the same material (dust from the ground) made from it clay and shaped eyes of the blind man.

If you think that this explanation is out of context, etc., then just ask yourself the following questions: "What was the point of Christ's act in John 9:6-7?" and "What was He trying to convey by that?".
